MLS: Galaxy Contine Sounders Recent Problems; Red Bulls Complete Season Series Sweep Of City

Two games were contested in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

At Carson, California:

Gyasi Zardes (13'), Robbie Keane (47'), and Giovani dos Santos (64', his first MLS score) each delivered a goal as the Los Angeles Galaxy downed the visiting Seattle Sounders 3-1, handing the guests their club-record fifth straight defeat (and eighth in their last nine starts).

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Bradley Wright-Phillips (21') and Felipe (85') each scored a goal as the New York Red Bulls blanked visiting New York City 2-0 to complete a season-series sweep of the Big Apple Derby.
