CAF Champions League Qualifying Opens: Mouloudia d'Oran, Ferroviario Maputo Advance By Default

The preliminary round of the CAF Champions League opened on Friday.

Wallidan FC from The Gambia withdrew from their two-game series with Mouloudia d'Oran and the Algerian club advanced to the first round by default.

Mochudi Centre Chiefs of Botswana pulled out of their scheduled two-game series with Ferroviario Maputo, enabling the club from Mozambique to advance to the first round by default.

At Kampala, Uganda:

Erisa Ssekisambu scored the only goal of the match in the 63rd minute as Vipers SC defeated visiting Enyimba from Nigeria 1-0 in the opening contest of their two-game series.

At Marrakech, Morocco:

Qlympique Khouribga took the opening game of their series with Gamtel FC from The Gambia 2-1 at home.
