UEFA Champions League: PSG, Eagles Take Series Openers As Knockout Stage Commences

Two games were contested on Tuesday as the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League commenced.

At Paris:

Cavani gives Paris the edge over Chelsea

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (39') and Edinson Cavani (78', that's him celebrating) produced the scoring as Paris Saint-Germain took the opening contest of their two-game series with Chelsea 2-1 at home.  John Obi Mikel's goal in the opening minute of first-half stoppage time kept the Blues in the series.

At Lisbon:

Jonas swoops late to earn Benfica narrow win

Jonas Goncalves Oliveir's goal in the opening minute of second-half stoppage time carried SL Benfica to a series-opening 1-0 home victory over Zenit Saint Petersburg.  Here's Jonas celebrating his game winner.
