At San Cristobal, Venezuela:
Edgar Perez Greco scored the winning goal in the 62nd minute as Deportivo Tachira held off visiting Club Olimpia from Paraguay 2-1.
GROUP EIGHT:
At Bogota, Colombia:
Independiente Santa Fe and visiting Cerro Porteno of Paraguay battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
