MLS: Citizens, Caps Grab Good Friday Wins; Late Heroics Garner Home Point For Quakes

Three games were contested in Major League Soccer on Friday.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Jack Harrison (52') and David Villa (90') each scored a second-half goal as New York City blanked the still winless Philadelphia Union 2-0 on the road.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Fredy Montero haunted his former team with two goals (65', 80') as the Vancouver Whitecaps knocked off the visiting Seattle Sounders 2-1 in a Cascadia Cup clash.

At San Jose, California:

Jahmir Hyka's equalizer in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time lifted the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-1 home draw with FC Dallas.  Kellyn Acosta scored for the Hoops in the 78th minute.
