Crew Win In Costa Rica; Dynamo Fall In Mexico

Group stage play in the CONCACAF Champions League continued on Wednesday.

Group A:

At Pachuca, Mexico:

Pachuca blanked the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-0. Edgar Benitez Santander (25') and Paul Aguilar (73') provided the scoring for the hosts.

At San Jose, Costa Rica:

Eddie Gaven's goal at 5 minutes held up as the Columbus Crew defeated Deportivo Saprissa 1-0 on the road. The Crew became the first US team to defeat Saprissa on the Costa Rican club's pitch.

Goals from Victor Rosales (86') and Francisco Palencia (90') enabled UNAM Pumas to gain a 2-2 road draw with W Connection, who were represented on the scoreboard by Jonathan Fana (20') and Ronato Pereira (89').
