Ricardo Clark Goal Carries Team USA To Road Win; El Tri, El Salvador Win, Too

Qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup from the CONCACAF region continued on Wednesday.

At Port-Of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago:

Ricardo Clark scored the only goal of the match (61') as the United States picked up a critical 1-0 road win over Trinidad and Tobago, whose razor-thin mathematical shot at reaching next year's World Cup were officially extinguished.

At Mexico City:

Cuauhtemoc Blanco's successful penalty kick (74') lifted Mexico to a 1-0 home win over Honduras.

At San Salvador:

Rudy Corrales scored the winning goal at 90 minutes as El Salvador kept their flickering chances of qualifying for next year's World Cup alive with a 1-0 home win over Costa Rica.
