UCL Group H: Late Goal Puts Legend In Win Column; Big Comeback Road Win For Gunners


Group H play in the UEFA Champions League got underway on Wednesday

At Athens, Greece:

Vassilis Torosidis scored the only goal of the contest at 79 minutes as Olympiacos, playing their first game for new head coach Zico, topped visiting AZ Alkmaar 1-0. Here is a photo of AZ's Brett Holman challenging the Red-Whites' Raul Bravo.

At Liege, Belgium:

Goals from Nicklas Bendtner (45'), Thomas Vermaelen (77', he's seen celebrating with f
ellow Gunner William Gallas), and Eduardo (81') enabled Arsenal to ruin Standard de Liege's group stage debut by coming back from a two-goal deficit and racking up a 3-2 road win.
