AFC Champions League: Match Day #1 Concludes

The opening week of group stage play in the AFC Champions League concluded with nine games on Wednesday.

Group C:

At Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates:

Hugo's goal at 88 minutes salvaged a 1-1 home draw for Al-Wahda in their contest with FC Bunyodkor.  Azizbek Kaydarov scored at 85 minutes for the guests. 


At Jeddah, Saudi Arabia:

 Abdelmalek Ziaya scored twice (13', 75') as Al-Ittihad defeated visiting Persepolis FC 2-1.

At Isfahan, Iran:


Mohammad Hosseini (45') and Igor Castro (53') each tallied once in the second half as Zob Ahan Isfahan FC came from behind to overtake visiting Emirates Club 2-1.


At Al-Rayyan, Oatar:


Nasser Al-Shamrani's equalizer at 58 minutes lifted Al-Shabab to a 1-1 road draw with Al-Rayyan Sports Club.  Itamar scored at 33 minutes for the hosts with a successful penalty kick.

Dejan Damjanovic scored the lone goal of the match at 25 minutes as FC Seoul defeated Al-Ain 1-0 on the road.

At Jeonju, South Korea:

Park Won-Jae's goal at 59 minutes provided all the scoring as Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors blanked visiting Shandong Luneng 1-0.


At Osaka, Japan:


Rodrigo scored twice (14', 76') as Cerezo Osaka topped visiting Arema FC from Indonesia 2-1.
