AFC Champions League: Match Day #2 Begins

Group stage play in the AFC Champions League resumed on Tuesday.

Group A:

At Doha, Qatar:

Christian Wilhelmsson scored the only goal of the match at 19 minutes as visiting Al-Hilal defeated Al-Gharafa 1-0.


Isfahan, Iran:

Ahmad Jamshidian scored twice (3', 24') as Sepahan demolished visiting Al-Jazira 5-1.

Group B:

At Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:

Al-Nassr, aided by goals courtesy of Hussein Sulaimani (60') and Saad Al-Harthi (81'), came from behind to overcome visiting Esteghlal 2-1.

 

Group E:

At Melbourne, Australia:

Park Hyun-Beom (40') and Lee Hyun-Ho (30') provided the scoring punch that carried Jeju United FC to a 2-1 come-from-behind win on the road over the Melbourne Victory.

At Tianjin, China:

Chen Tao (25') and Cao Yang (PK-53') each delivered a goal as Tianjin Teda FC defeated visiting Gamba Osaka 2-1.

Dejan Damjanovic (16'), Ou Kyoung-Jun (70'), and Mauricio Molina (80') each tallied once as FC Seoul blasted visiting Hangzhou Greentown 3-0.


NOTE:  Scheduled home matches for Nagoya Grampus (Tuesday vs. Al-Ain) and Kashima Antlers (Wednesday vs. Sydney FC) have been postponed for the time being in the wake of Friday's massive earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
