Copa Libertadores: Wednesday Wins For Colo Colo, Internacional, Emelec, and Cruzeiro

Four games were contested on Wednesday as group stage play in the Copa Libertadores continued.

Group Five:

At Santiago, Chile:

Esteban Paredas (26'), Ezequiel Miralles (24'), and Andres Scotti (42') each scored a first-half goal as Colo Colo held off visiting Santos 3-2.

Group Six:

At Guayaquil, Colombia:

Mario David Quiroz scored the only goal of the match on his successful penalty kick at 53 minutes as Emelec defeated visiting Jaguares 1-0.


At Cochabamba, Bolivia:


Internacional, helped by goals from Leandro Damiao (18'), Ze Roberto (24'), and Kleber (80'), dominated Club Jorge Wilstermann 4-1 on the road.

Group Seven:

At Minas Gerais, Brazil:

Roger scored twice (61', PK-70') as Cruzeiro demolished visiting Deportes Tolima 6-1.
