Felix Noguera salvage the draw for the hosts with a successful penalty kick at 31 minutes. Federico Fernandez scored at 23 minutes for the visiting Argentinian club, who will be playing in the Round of 16.
At Asuncion, Paraguay:
Thiago Ribiero (17') and Jose Ortigoza (90'+2) provided the scoring that carried group-leading Cruzeiro to a 2-0 road win over Club Guarani.
