Copa Libertadores: Argentinos Juniors and Club America Get Wins; Three Wednesday Draws

Five games were played on Wednesday as group stage action in the Copa Libertadores continued.


Group One:


At San Luis Potosi, Mexico:


All the scoring took place early as San Luis settled for a 1-1 home stalemate with Once Caldas.  Wason Renteria scored for the visiting Colombian club at 3 minutes, then Michael Arroyo equalized at 18 minutes for the hosts.


Group Three:


At Montevideo, Uruguay:


Franco Niell provided the game's lone goal at 21 minutes as Argentinos Juniors defeated Club Nacional 1-0 on the road.


At Mexico City:


Daniel Marquez scored at 70 minutes as Club America blanked visiting Fluminense 1-0.

At Santos, Brazil:


Roberto Nanni's successful penalty kick at 90 minutes carried Cerro Porteno to a 1-1 road draw with Santos.  Elano converted on his penalty kick attempt for the hosts at 55 minutes.

At Ibague, Colombia:


Deportes Tolima battled visiting Cruzeiro to a 0-0 deadlock.
