CONCACAF Champions League: Sounders, Olimpia Pick Up Wins; W Connection Held To Home Draw By Xelaju

The opening week of group-stage action in the CONCACAF Champions League concluded with three games on Thursday.


Group Three:


At San Pedro Sula, Honduras:


Luciano Emilio (2'), Juan Garcia (16'), and Roger Rojas (75') each tallied once as CD Olimpia made things to hot for visiting CD FAS from El Salvador 3-0.

Group Four:


At Seattle:


Sammy Ochoa (19'), Fredy Montero (30'), and two-assist man Andy Rose (43') each scored once as the Seattle Sounders defeated visiting Caledonia AIA of Trinidad and Tobago 3-1.

Group Eight:


At Marabella, Trinidad and Tobago:


Edgar Chinchilla scored twice late in the second half (74', 88'), enabling CSD Xelaju to come back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 road draw with W Connection.  Hachim Arcia (23') and Rennie Brito (34') each scored once for the hosts.
