Europa League Qualifying: Liverpool, Inter Milan, Marseille, Rapid Vienna, Legia Warsaw, Dynamo Moscow, Rosenborg, APOEL FC, Athletic Bilbao Advance To Playoff Round

29 games were played on Thursday as the third round of Europa League qualifying concluded.

At Nicosia, Cyprus:

After a second straight scoreless draw between Omonia and visiting Red Star Belgrade, followed by 30 scoreless minutes of overtime, the Serbian club won the penalty kick shootout 6-5 to advance.

At Moscow:

Aleksandr Sapeta scored twice in the final ten minutes of regulation (83', 89') as Dynamo Moscow belted visiting Dundee United 5-0 in game two and finished off the Scottish club 7-2 on aggregate in their two-match series.

At Boras, Sweden:

Thomas Kortegaard scored twice (13', 36') as AC Horsens topped Elfsborg 3-2 on the road in game two and took the series 4-3 on aggregate.

At Aktobe, Kazakhstan:

Nadson Jose Ferreira (36') and Thomas Buffel (53') each scored a goal as KRC Genk doubled up FC Aktobe 2-1 on the road in game two and won their series 4-2 on aggregate.

At Koprivnica, Croatia:

Despite dropping a 2-1 road verdict in game two, Spain's Athletic Bilbao still won their two-game series with Slaven Koprivnica 4-3 on aggregate.  Iker Muniain scored a critical goal for the visitors in the 47th minute.

At Warsaw, Poland:

Marek Saganowski (41'), Miroslav Radovic (55'), and Danijel Ljuboja (62') each delivered a goal as Legia Warsaw overturned their 2-1 road defeat from last week with a 3-1 home win in game two and eliminated SV Riev 4-3 on aggregate.

At Trondheim, Norway:

With the second game ending up in a 0-0 stalemate, Rosenborg, with the aggregate score at 1-1, won their two-game series with Servette of Switzerland on away goals and advanced to the playoff round.

At Alesund, Norway:

Aldo Adorno scored the only goal of the match in the 36th minute as APOEL FC won game two 1-0 on the road and took out Aalesund 3-1 on aggregate.

At Donetsk, Ukraine:

Aleksandar Prijovic scored the series-winning goal in the ninth minute as Tromso IL took game two of their series 1-0 on the road and knocked out Metaluhr Donetsk 2-1 on aggregate.

At Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic:

Nacer Chadli (9') and Leroy Fer (31') provided the tallies as FC Twente registered a second successive 2-0 win over FK Mlada Boleslav, this time on the road, and took out the Czech club 4-0 on aggregate.

At Larnaca, Cyprus:

Mate Vatsadze scored twice (53', 81') as FC Dila Gori from Georgia led Anorthosis 3-0 on the road in game two when the contest was abandoned in the 82nd minute due to crowd disturbance.  The Georgian club was leading 4-1 on aggregate.

At Ghent, Belgium:

Nemanja Nikolic scored twice during a three-minute span (68', 71') as Videoton FC dominated KAA Gent 3-0 in game three on the road and won the series 4-0 on aggregate.

At Bern, Switzerland:

Emmanuel Mayuka (7'), Mario Raimondi (69'), and Raul Bobadilla (82') each scored once as BSC Young Boys blanked visiting Kalmar FF 3-0 in game two, enabling the Swiss club to overcome their 1-0 road defeat from last week and win their two-match series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Trnava, Slovakia:

With Adi Rocha Sobrinho (8'), Raul Rusescu (76'), and Stefan Nikolic (83') each scoring a goal, Steaua Bucharest overcame their 1-0 home defeat from last week with a 3-0 win on the road in game two, enabling them to take out Spartak Trnava 3-1 on aggregate.

At Poznan, Poland:

Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two decision on the road, AIK Solma from Sweden still won their series with Lech Poznan 3-1 on aggregate.

At Podgorica, Montenegro:

Goran Burzanovic scored the series winning goal in the ninth minute as FK Zeta took game two 1-0 at home over FK Sarajevo and with the aggregate score at 2-2, advanced on away goals.

At Prague, Czech Republic:

Leonard Kweuke scored twice during a three-minute first-half span (36', 39') as Sparta Prague gained a 2-2 game-two home draw with Admira Wacker Modling, enough for the Czech club to eliminate the Austrian club 4-2 on aggregate.

At Maribor, Slovenia:

Despite falling 2-0 at home in game two with Arsenal Kiev, ND Mura 05 still won their two-match series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Arnhem, Netherlands:

Samuel Eto'o scored twice (48', PK-84') as FC Anzhi Makhachkala blanked Vitesse Arnhem 2-0 for a second time, this time on the road, and won the series 4-0 on aggregate.

At Plzen, Czech Republic:

Michal Duris delivered a natural first-half hat trick (2', 12', 28') as FC Viktoria Plzen demolished visiting Ruch Chorzow 5-0 in game two and finished off their Polish opponents 7-0 on aggregate.

At Thessaloniki, Greece:

Stefanos Athanasiadis scored twice early in the second half (47', 50') as PAOK FC dominated visiting Bnei Yehuda 4-1 in game two and won their two-match series 6-1 on aggregate.

At Bursa, Turkey:

Sebastian Pinto scored twice (28', 49') as Bursaspor more than overturned their 1-0 road defeat from last week with a 6-0 home annihilation of KuPS in game two and took the series 6-1 on aggregate.

At Hanover, Germany:

Karim Haggui (32') and Mario Eggimann (47') provided the goal power as Hannover 96 downed visiting St. Patrick's Athletic 2-0 in game two and knocked out the Irish club 5-0 on aggregate.

At Bucharest, Romania:

Despite dropping a 1-0 road decision in game two against Rapid Bucharest, SC Heereveen still won their two-match series with the Romanian club 4-1 on aggregate.

At Istres, France:

Andre Ayew scored twice (7', 66') as Marseille dominated visiting Eskisehirspor 3-0 in game two and won their two-match series 4-1 on aggregate.

At Milan, Italy:

Despite dropping a 2-0 game-two decision at home to Hajduk Split, Inter Milan still outlasted the Croatian club on aggregate, 3-2, and advanced.

At Funchal, Portugal:

Despite being held to a 0-0 home stalemate by Asteras Tripolis in game two, CS Maritimo, with the aggregate score at 1-1, still advanced on away goals.

At Liverpool, England:

Fabio Borini (21'), Steven Gerrard (41'), and Glen Johnson (72') each tallied once as Liverpool dominated visiting FC Gomel 3-0 in game two and won their series with the Belorussian club 4-0 on aggregate.

At Vienna, Austria:

Two stoppage-time goals, courtesy of Deni Alar (90'+1) and Terrance Boyd (90'+8), carried Rapid Vienna to a 2-0 game-two home win over FK Vojvodina and a 3-2 aggregate win for the series.
