MLS: Caps, SKC, Hoops, Quakes Rack Up Home Wins

Four games were played on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Camilo Sanvezzo (58') and Dane Richards (63') provided the scoring as the Vancouver Whitecaps held off visiting Real Salt Lake 2-1.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Graham Zusi scored the winning goal in the 63rd minute as Sporting Kansas City, coming off their US Open Cup final triumph, defeated visiting DC United 2-1 and took over first place in the Eastern Conference standings.

At Frisco, Texas:

Fabian Castillo (40'), Jair Benitez (44'), and David Ferreira (48') each delivered a goal as FC Dallas defeated the visiting Colorado Rapids 3-2.

At Santa Clara, California:

Steven Linhart scored the winning goal in second half stoppage time (90'+3) as the San Jose Earthquakes defeated the visiting Seattle Sounders (whose Fredy Montero had equalized less than two minutes earlier) 3-2.
