Two games were played on Tuesday as the opening round of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League came to a conclusion.
At Torshavn, Faroe Islands:
Levi Hanssen scored twice (38', 85') as EB/Steymur delivered a 5-1 home fist-beating to Lusitanos in game two and ousted the Andorran club 7-3 on aggregate. The Faroese club will be heading down to Georgia (not THAT one) for next Tuesday's opening match of their two-game series against Dinamo Tbilisi.
At Serravalle, San Marino: Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two road decision to Tre Penne, Armenia's Shirak FC still won their two-match series 3-1. Next Tuesday, Skirak will host longtime Serbian powerhouse Partizan Belgrade in the opening match of their two-game series in the second qualifying round.
