The second round of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League commenced on Tuesday with eight games.
At Plzen, Czech Republic:
Daniel Kolar scored twice (66', 76') while Frantisek Rajtoral scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute as FC Viktoria Plzen to the opening match of their two-game series with FK Zeljeznicar Sarajevo 4-3 at home. Tomislav Tomic (52'), Vernes Selimovic (78'), and Sead Bucan (85') each tallied once to keep the visiting Bosnian club in the series.
At Barysaw, Belarus:
Sergei Khizhnichenko scored the only goal of the match in the 48th minute as FC Shakhter Karagandy took game one of their two-match series with FC BATE Borisov 1-0 on the road.
At Tbilisi, Georgia:
Djilly Arsene Dit Patrick Vouho scored twice (77', 81') as Dinamo Tbilisi dominated visiting EB/Streymur 5-1 on the road in their series opener.
At Tiraspol, Moldova:
Andrija Pejovic's equalizer in the 55th minute carried Sutjeska Niksic to a 1-1 series opening draw with FC Shefiff. Luvannor Henrique de Souza Silva scored for the hosts in the 45th minute.
At Penevezys, Lithuania:
Petur Vidarsson scored the only goal of the match in the 30th minute as FH Hafnarfjordur knocked off FK Ekranas 1-0 on the road in match one of their two-game series.
At Ta' Qali, Malta:
The opening match of the series between Birkirkira and visiting NK Maribor ended in a 0-0 deadlock.
At Differdange, Luxembourg:
El Arbi Hillel Soudani scored twice as Dinamo Zagreb busted open what had been at halftime a scoreless stalemate and turned it into a series-opening 5-0 road demolition of CS Fola Esch.
At Bucharest, Romania:
With Cristian Tanase (12'), Mihai Doru Pantilii (21'), and Igor Pavlovic (OG-45'+2) provided the scoring in the first half Steaua Bucharest dominated visiting FK Vardar 3-0 in match one of the clubs' two-game series.
