The second cycle of contests in the group stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup commenced on Thursday with two Group A games taking place in Seattle.
In the opener, Gabriel Torres converted a penalty kick in the 85th minute as Panama locked up a berth in the quarterfinal round with a 1-0 win over game Martinique.
In the nightcap, Raul Jimenez (42') and Marco Fabian (PK-58') delivered the scoring for Mexico as El Tri shut out Canada 2-0.
