OFC Champions League: Auckland City, Magenta Post Lopsided Wins, Advance To Quarterfinals

OFC Champions League group-stage play concluded with two games, both in Group D, both contested at Lawson Tama Stadium, Honiara, Solomon Islands.

In the opener, Yorick Hnautra delivered a quadruple (5', 26', 49', 60'), scoring twice in each half, while Leon Wahnawe (10', 32') and Kevin Nemia (73', 85') each scored twice as AS Magenta advanced to the quarterfinal round after their 10-1 frontier-styled fist-beating of Tupapa Maraerenga.

In the finale, Dylan Manickum scored twice (15', 26') as Auckland City destroyed hosts Solomon Warriors 6-0.

Final Group D Standings:

1. Auckland City (GP: 3; GD: +22; PTS: 9)
2. AS Magenta (GP: 3; GD: +11; PTS: 6)
3. Solomon Warriors (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 3)

Auckland City and AS Magenta advanced to the quarterfinal round.
