MLS: Five Draws Populate Opening Day; Zlatan Comes Through For Galaxy; Jordan Rules Again As Sounders Top Debutantes From Cincinnati

Ten games were contested on Saturday as Major League Soccer opened its' 24th regular season.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Michael Bradley scored twice (45'+3, 62') as Toronto FC defeated the Philadelphia Union 3-1 on the road.

At Orlando, Florida:

Chris Mueller (59') and Tesho Akindele (75') each scored a second-half goal as Orlando City came from two goals down to gain a 2-2 home draw with New York City.

Ebenezer Ofori (13') and Alexander Ring (45') delivered the goals for the visiting Citizens.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Gaston Sauro's equalizer in the 41st minute carried the Columbus Crew to a 1-1 home draw with the New York Red Bulls.

Andreas Ivan scored for the guests in the sixth minute.

At Frisco, Texas:

Charles Gil provided the 57th-minute equalizer for the New England Revolution as the guests gained a 1-1 road draw with FC Dallas.

Michael Barrios scored for the Hoops at 13 minutes.

At Houston:

Mauro Manotas delivered the equalizer in the 62nd minute to lift the Houston Dynamo to a 1-1 home draw with Real Salt Lake.

Albert Rusnak scored for the hosts in the 40th minute.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Andre Shinyashiki's game-tying goal at the death (90'+4) lifted the Colorado Rapids to a 3-3 home draw with the Portland Timbers.

Kei Kamara (16') and Benny Feilhaber (46') also scored for the Rapids.

The Timbers' goals came courtesy of Diego Valeri (29'), Sebastian Blanco (45'+1), and Deklan Wynne (OG-66').

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Romario Ibarra scored the game winner in the 70th minute as Minnesota United knocked off the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-2 on the road for their first-ever season-opening victory.

At Carson, California:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the winning goal in the 80th minute as the Los Angeles Galaxy came from behind to upend the visiting Chicago Fire 2-1.

At Seattle:

Jordan Morris scored twice (33', 43') as the Seattle Sounders spoiled the debut of visiting FC Cincinnati 4-1.

Leonardo Bertone scored the expansion club's first MLS goal at 13 minutes.

At San Jose, California:

Saphir Taider scored the winning goal in the 44th minute as the Montreal Impact knocked off the San Jose Earthquakes 2-1 on the road.
