Memo Rodriguez scored twice (15', 73') as the Houston Dynamo defeated the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 3-2.
At Harrison, New Jersey:
Alex Muyl scored twice (51', 71') as the New York Red Bulls overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to overpower the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 4-1.
At Orlando, Florida:
Ignacio Piatti scored twice (15', 80') as the Montreal Impact downed Orlando City 3-1 on the road.
At Washington:
Wayne Rooney posted his first career MLS hat trick (PK-34', 41', 65') as DC United destroyed visiting Real Salt Lake 5-0.
At Carson, California:
Sebastian Lletget scored the winning goal in the 81st minute as the Los Angeles Galaxy held off visiting Minnesota United 3-2.
