MLS: NYCFC and DC United Draw; Cincinnati Gains Road Draw With Five Stripes; SKC, LAFC Come Up Winners

Four games were contested in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Ilie Sanchez (PK-11') and Jack Elliott (OG-80') delivered the goals as Sporting Kansas City blanked the visiting Philadelphia Union 2-0.

At New York:

DC United and homestanding New York City battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Atlanta:

Roland Lamah's equalizer in the 86th minute carried FC Cincinnati to their first-ever MLS point as the guests gained a 1-1 draw with Atlanta United.

Josef Martinez scored for the Five Stripes in the fifth minute.

At Los Angeles:

Carlos Vela had a hand in all four of the Los Angeles Football Club's goals (his score in the 68th minute and tallies from Mark-Anthony Kaye [14'], Christian Ramirez [45'], and Adama Diomande [65']as the hosts dominated the visiting ten-man Portland Timbers 4-1.
