MLS: Red Bulls Dominate Dynamo In Houston, Climb Back To Top Of Supporters Shield Standings; Galaxy (Sounders Too) Clinch Playoff Berth With Scoreless Home Draw Against Quakes

Two games were played on Sunday in Major League Soccer.

At Houston:

Tim Cahill (eight seconds into the match, the fastest goal in MLS history), Ibrahim Sekagya (65'), and Bradley Wright-Phillips (75') provided the scoring as the New York Red Bulls dominated the Houston Dynamo 3-0 on the road.  The Red Bulls climbed back to the top of the Eastern Conference standings with one game remaining and reclaimed the lead in the Supporters' Shield race.

At Carson, California:

The Los Angeles Galaxy locked up a playoff berth by battling the visiting San Jose Earthquakes to a 0-0 stalemate, all but eliminating the guests from postseason play.  The Galaxy's draw also clinched a playoff berth for the Seattle Sounders.
