AFC Champions League

Group-stage play in the AFC Champions League resumed on Tuesday with eight games.

Group A:

At Al Rayyan, Qatar:

Kalu Uche scored the only goal of the match in the 14th minute as Al-Rayyan defeated visiting Esteghlal 1-0.

At Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:

Ali Mabkhout (7'), Abdullah Qasem (12'), and Jucilei (56') provided the scoring as Al-Jazira knocked off Al-Shabab 3-1 on the road.

At Ahvaz, Iran:

Bakhtiar Rahmani's successful penalty kick in the 68th minute provided all the scoring in Foolad's 1-0 home win over Al-Fateh.

Kim Seung-Dae scored the winning goal in the 24th minute as Pohang Steelers held off Burinam United 2-1 on the road.

Mile Sterjovski scored twice in the first half (23', 32') as the Central Coast Mariners defeated visiting Sanfrecce Hiroshima 2-1.

At Beijing, China:

Ko Yo-Han's equalizer in the 71st minute lifted FC Seoul to a 1-1 road draw with Beijing Guoan.  Peter Utaka scored for the hosts in the 20th minute.
