CAF Champions League Qualifying

Eight games were played on Saturday, the opening day of the first qualifying round for the CAF Champions League.

At Dar es Salaam, Tanzania:

Nadir Haroub scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute as Young Africans blanked defending champions Al-Ahly 1-0 at home in the opening match of the clubs' two-game series.

At Nairobi, Kenya:

Esperance de Tunis took the opening match with Gor Mahia 3-2 on the road.

At Ruyigi, Burundi:

Flambeau d'Iest took the opening game of their series with Cameroon's  Coton Sport 1-0.

At Bamako, Mali:

Sudan's Al-Hilal held hosts Stade Malien to a series-opening 0-0 stalemate.

At Durban , South Africa:

Kaiser Chiefs took command of their two-game series with Liga Muculmana following their series-opening 4-0 home demolition of the Mozambican club.

At Harare, Zimbabwe:

Dynamos FC settled for a series-opening 0-0 home deadlock with AS Vita Club.

At Cairo, Egypt:

With Mamoud Fathallah scoring the game's lone goal in the 56th minute, Zamalek took the opening match of their series with Angola's Kabuscorp 1-0 at home.

At Kitwe, Zambia:

Kampala City Council gained a series-opening 2-2 road draw with Nkana FC.
