Copa Libertadores

Five games were played on Wednesday as action in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores continued.

GROUP ONE:

At La Paz, Bolivia:

Ernest Cristaldo scored the winning goal in the 32nd minute as The Strongest defeated visiting Trujillanos 2-1.



GROUP TWO:

At Montevideo, Uruguay:

In a contest between two Uruguayan clubs, Club Nacional and visiting River Plate battled to a 0-0 stalemate.



GROUP SIX:

At Buenos Aires:

Carlos Esquivel's equalizer in the 13th minute lifted Toluca to a 1-1 road draw with San Lorenzo.  Nestor Ortigoza converted a penalty kick for the hosts in the 12th minute.

At Porto Alegre, Brazil:

Maicon Thiago Pereira de Souza Nascimento got the scoring going in the 12th minute as Gremio demolished visiting LDU Quito 4-0.

GROUP EIGHT:

At Sao Paulo, Brazil:

Guilherme Milhomem Gusmao scored the game's lone goal in the 65th minute as Corinthians defeated visiting Indpendiente Santa Fe 1-0.
