AFC Champions League: Knockout Stage Stars

The knockout stage of the AFC Champions League commenced on Tuesday with five games.



EAST ZONE:



At Melbourne, Australia:



Leonardo Rodriguez Pereira delivered the equalizer in the 14th minute as Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors gained a series-opening 1-1 road draw with the Melbourne Victory.  Besart Berisha scored in the fifth minute for the hosts.



At Tokyo:



Kota Nizunuma scored twice (43', 65') as FC Tokyo took the opening contest of their two-match series with Shanghai SIPG 2-1 at home.  Wu Lei kept the Chinese club in the series with what could still be a precious road goal in the 55th minute.











WEST ZONE:



At Doha, Qatar:



Romarinho scored twice (17', 86') as El Jaish all but assured themselves of a berth in the quarterfinal round following their series-opening 4-0 road demolition of Lekhwiya.



At Dubai, United Arab Emirates:


Salem Saleh scored twice (41', 77') as Al-Nasr dominated visiting Tractor Sazi 4-1 in game one of their two-match series.



At Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:



Lokomotiv Tashkent held hosts Al-Hilal to a series-opening 0-0 stalemate.
