AFC Champions League

Three games were played on Wednesday as the Group of 16 of the AFC Champions League continued.

WEST ZONE:

At Al Ain, United Arab Emirates:

Mohammadreza Abbasi's equalizer in the 76th minute lifted Zob Ahan to a series-opening 1-1 road draw with Al-Ain.  Dyanfres Douglas scored for the hosts in the ninth minute.



EAST ZONE:

At Saitama, Japan:

Tomoya Ugajin scored the only goal of the match in the 14th minute as Urawa Red Diamonds defeated visiting FC Seoul 1-0 in the opening game of their two-match series.

At Jinan, China:

Diego Tartelli's equalizer in the 56th minute enabled Shandong Luneng to salvage a series-opening 1-1 home draw with Sydney FC.  David Carney scored for the Australian club in the 15th minute.
