The knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup commenced on Saturday with two Round of 16 games, both contested in Russia:

Kylian Mbappe scored twice (64', 68'; that's him being mobbed by teammates such at Paul Pogba---on top----after his first tally) as France came from behind to upend Argentina 4-3 and advanced to the quarterfinal round.
