Ignatio Piatti scored twice (PK-5', 90'+2) as the Montreal Impact dominated visiting Orlando City 3-0, handing the Lions their sixth successive defeat.
At Columbus, Ohio:
Josef Martinez (30') and Hector Villaba (82') each scored twice as Atlanta United blanked the Columbus Crew 2-0 on the road.
At Toronto:
Nick Hagglund scored twice (87', 90'+2) while Jonathan Osorio (56') and Victor Vazquez (64') added a goal apiece as Toronto FC battled back from a three-goal halftime deficit to gain a 4-4 home draw with DC United.
Yamil Asas scored twice (12', 90') and Paul Arriola (17') and Darren Mattocks (45') each tallied once for the guests.
At Harrison, New Jersey:
Bradley Wright-Phillips scored the winning goal in the 52nd minute as the New York Red Bulls held off the visiting Seattle Sounders 2-1.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Danny Wilson (OG-21') and Aleksandar Katai (24') each scored once as the Chicago Fire came back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 road draw with the Colorado Rapids in a match that saw all four goals scored in the opening half-hour.
Dominique Badji (7') and Tommy Smith (15') each scored once for the hosts.
At San Jose, California:
Danny Hoesen scored twice (17', 51') as the San Jose Earthquakes gained a 2-2 home draw with the New England Revolution.
Diego Fagundez (31') and Cristian Penilla (43') each scored once for the Revs.
