Julian Gressel's equalizer in the 56th minute Atlanta United to a 1-1 home draw with the Portland Timbers.
Larry Mabiala scored in the 32nd minute for the Timbers, who ran their league unbeaten run to nine games (eleven in all competitions).
At New York:
Jo Inge Berget scored twice (51', 68') as New York City came from behind to upend visiting Toronto FC 2-1.
