Denis Cheryshev scored twice (43', 90'; that's him here celebrating after scoring) on Thursday as Russia destroyed Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the opening match of the FIFA World Cup played at Luzhniki Stadium in the Russian capital.
This was a Group A contest and was the only game played on the tournament's opening day.
