Kevin O'Connor's stoppage time penalty kick (90'+4) carried Brentford to a 1-1 road draw with Swindon Town in the opening game of their English League One promotion playoff semifinal series. Massimo Luongo scored in the 70th minute for the home-standing Robins. The two clubs will battle again on Monday on the Bees' home pitch in the London Borough of Hounslow, with the winner advancing to the playoff final against the Sheffield United-Yeovil Town series winner at London's Wembley Stadium on May 19, with the winner joining Doncaster Rovers and AFC Bournemouth in gaining promotion to the League Championship.
