MLS: Red Bulls, RSL, Rapids Net Saturday Wins; 2-2 Draws For Philly and Sounders, Quakes and Impact

Five games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Tim Cahill scored the only goal of the match in the 80th minute as the New York Red Bulls defeated the Columbus Crew 1-0 on the road.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Eddie Johnson (10') and Mauro Rosales (64') each scored a goal as the Seattle Sounders, who ended the game with nine men, gained a 2-2 road draw with the ten-man Philadelphia Union.  Danny Cruz scored both of Philly's goals a minute apart early in the second half (50', 51').

At Santa Clara, California:

Adam Jahn (59') and Sam Cronin (90'+1) each delivered a goal as the San Jose Earthquakes battled back from a two-goal deficit to salvage a 2-2 home draw with the Montreal Impact, both of whose goals came courtesy of Justin Mapp (24', 47').

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Edson Buddle scored the only goal (86') of the Colorado Rapids' 1-0 home win over Toronto FC.

At Sandy, Utah:

Luis Gil (47') and Javier Morales (71') provided the goal power that carried Real Salt Lake over the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0.
