STOPPAGE-TIME HEADER BAGS EUROPA LEAGUE CROWN FOR CHELSEA

At Amsterdam, Netherlands:

Goals from Fernando Torres (59') and Branislav Ivanovic (90'+3, shown here) carried Chelsea to a 2-1 victory over SL Benfica (Oscar Cardozo converting a penalty kick in the 68th minute) enabling the Blues to win the Europa League crown, a year after winning the UEFA Champions League title.  The Blues became the fourth club (after Juventus, Ajax Amsterdam, and Bayern Munich) to win all three major European club tournaments (Chelsea also won the now-defunct Cup-Winners Cup in 1971 and 1998).
