CAF Champions League

Nine games were played on Saturday as the first round of the CAF Champions League commenced.

At Ndola, Zambia:

Justine Zulu's equalizer in the 90th minute enabled ZESCO United to salvage a series-opening 1-1 home draw with AS Saloum.  Mr. Souma scored for the Guinean club in the 58th minute.

At Garoua, Cameroon:

SM Sanga Balende from the Democratic Republic of the Congo held hosts Coton Sport to a series-opening 0-0 stalemate.

At Omdurman, Sudan:

Al-Merrikh blanked visiting Kabuscorp 2-0 in game one of their two-match series.

At El Eulma, Algeria:

MC El Eulma were held to a series-opening 0-0 home stalemate by Asante Kotoko.

At Kigali, Rwanda:

Al-Ahly blanked Armee Patriotique Rwandaise FC 2-0 on the road in game one, with both goals coming courtesy of Emad Moteab (65', 85').

At Brikama, The Gambia:

Defending continental champs El Setif gained a series-opening 1-1 road deadlock with Real Banjul.

At Durban, South Africa:

Ighodaro Osaguona scored the only goal of Raja Casablanca's series-opening 1-0 road win over Kaiser Chiefs in the seventh minute.

At Pretoria, South Africa:

Khami Billiat scored the only goal of the match in the 86th minute as Mamelodi Sundowns took game one 1-0 over visiting TP Mazembe.

At Moanda, Gabon:

Stade Malien put themselves in the drivers seat in their two-game series with AS Mangasport after their 3-1 series-opening road victory.
