Copa Libertadores

Four games were played in Copa Libertadores group-stage action on Thursday.

GROUP FOUR:

At Santiago, Chile:

Sebastian Ubilla (73') and Gustavo Canales (77') each scored a second-half goal four minutes apart as Universidad de Chile defeated The Strongest 3-1 at home.

Group Four Standings:

1. Club Sport Emelec (GP: 3; GD: +3; PTS: 6)
2. Internacional (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 6)
3. Universidad de Chile (GP: 3; GD: -1; PTS: 3)

GROUP SIX:

At Buenos Aires:

Carlos Andres Sanchez's 72nd-minute equalizer enabled River Plate to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Tigres.  Joffre Guerron scored in the 40th minute for the Mexican club.

At Chiclayo, Peru:

Cesar Valoyes (5') and Christian Ramos (22') each scored once in Juan Aurich's 2-0 home blanking of Club Deportivo San Jose from Bolivia.

Group Six Standings:

2. Club Deportivo San Jose (GP: 2; GD; 0; PTS: 3)

GROUP SEVEN:

At Medellin, Colombia:

Leonardo Jara's equalizer in the 48th minute carried Estudiantes to a 1-1 road draw with Atletico Nacional.  Pablo Zeballos scored in the 42nd minute for the hosts.
