MLS: Hoops, Caps Collect Wins On Four-Draw Saturday, Which Includes Three Scoreless Stalemates

Six games were played on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

The ten-man Montreal Impact held the home-standing New England Revolution to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

New York City gained a point on the road with a 0-0 deadlock against the Colorado Rapids.

At Chester, Pennsylvania (postponed from Friday due to snow):

In a foul-filled match, Tesho Akindale (49') and Ryan Hollingshead (59') delivered the goals as FC Dallas blanked the ten-man Philadelphia Union 2-0 on the road.

At Orlando, Florida:

Octavio Rivera delivered the only goal of the match in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time as the Vancouver Whitecaps handed Orlando City their first MLS defeat, 1-0 on the road.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Sporting Kansas City and the visiting Portland Timbers battled to a 0-0 draw.

At Carson, Califorina:

Nathan Sturgis' equalizer in the 11th minute carried the Houston Dynamo to a 1-1 road draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy.  Robbie Keane scored for the defending champs in the third minute.  Recovering from his blunder against Orlando eight days earlier, Dynamo goalkeeper Tyler Deric made several key second-half saves to preserve the draw and gain a road point for the guests.
