CONCACAF Gold Cup: Reggae Boyz Knock Off Team USA; El Tri Outlast Panama In Contentious Contest Decided In OT

The semifinal round of the CONCACAF Gold Cup took place on Wednesday with both games contested at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

In the opener, Darren Mattocks (31') and Giles Barnes (36') each scored a goal as Jamaica knocked off the United States 2-1.  The Reggae Boyz advanced to their first-ever Gold Cup Final.  With the defeat, the Americans, who won the tournament in 2013, will play in a one-game playoff against the winner of Sunday's final for the right to represent CONCACAF in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

In the nightcap, two successfully converted penalty kicks from Andres Guardado (90'+10, 105') propelled Mexico to a contentious 2-1 victory over Panama and a berth in their eighth Gold Cup Final.

The United States will face Panama in Saturday's third-place match, which will be played at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania at 1:00 PM Pacific Time (Fox Sports 2).

Mexico will battle Jamaica in Sunday's final at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field, set to kick off at 4:30 PM Pacific Time (Fox Sports 1).
