In the opener, Sheldon Bateau (17') and Andre Boucard (42') produced the goals as Trinidad and Tobago locked up a berth in the quarterfinal round by blanking Cuba 2-0.
In the nightcap, Guatemala and Mexico battled to a 0-0 deadlock.
