Europa League

50 (!) games were played on Thursday as the opening round of Europa League qualifying concluded.

At Almaty, Kazakhstan:

Bauyrzhan Islamkhan (29') and Islambek Kuat (47') each scored a goal as Kairat defeated visiting Red Star Belgrade 2-1 in game two and ousted the Serbian club 4-1 on aggregate.

At Orhei, Moldova:

Eugeniu Cociuc (9'), Vasile Jardan (55'), Vasili Pavlov (60'), and Evgeniy Lozovly (88') each scored a goal as Dacia Chisinau
 dominated visiting Renova 4-1 in game two and eliminated the Macedonian club 5-1 on aggregate.

At Niksic, Montenegro:

Despite a game-two 2-0 road defeat against Sutjeska Niksic, Hungary's Debreceni VSC still won their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Zhodino, Belarus:

A 0-0 game-two with Torpedo BelAZ Zhodino was good enough for Kukesi as the Albanian club won their series 2-0 on aggregate.

At Qabala, Azerbaijan:

Sergei Zenjov (88') and Oleksiy Antonov (90'+3) scored the goals in the final minutes as Gabala overturned their 2-1 road defeat of last week with a game-two 2-0 victory over visiting Dinamo Tbilisi and ousted the Georgian club 3-2 on aggregate.

At Boras, Sweden:

Anders Svensson scored what proved to be the series-winning goal in the 11th minute as Elfsborg, with five goal scorers each tallying once, destroyed visiting FC Lahti 5-0 in game two and finished off the Finnish club 7-2 on aggregate.

At Jelgava, Latvia:

Despite being held to a 0-0 game-two draw against visiting Buducnost Podgorica, Spartaks Jurmala won their two-game series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Tallinn, Estonia:

Despite being held to a 0-0 game-two deadlock by visiting Aktobe, Nomme Kalju won their two-game series against the club from Kazakhstan 1-0 on aggregate.

At Nicosia, Cyprus:

Herold Goulon (58') and Andre Schembri (61') each scored a second-half goal three minutes apart as Omonia overturned their 1-0 series-opening road setback with a 2-0 home victory in game two against Dimano Batumi and won their two-match series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Baku, Azerbaijan:

With a 0-0 game-two road stalemate, and with the two-game series at 1-1 on aggregate, Albania's KF Laci advanced on away goals at Inter Baku's expense.

At Dudelange, Luxembourg:

Ryan Swan scored the series-winning goal in the 17th minute as University College Dublin, despite dropping a 2-1 game-two road decision to F91 Dudelange, still advanced on away goals with the aggregate score at 2-2.

At Yerevan, Armenia:

Fabrizio Miccoli (21'), Mauricio Mazzetti (44'), and Paul Fenech (PK-80') each scored a goal as Birkirkara defeated Ulisses 3-1 on the road in game two and took out the Armenian club by that same score on aggregate.

At Tbilisi, Georgia:

Dan Roman scored twice (6', 59') as Botosani defeated Spartaki Tskhinvali 3-1 on the road in game two and took their series 4-2 on aggregate.

At Salihorsk, Belarus:

Alyaksandr Yurevich (8'), Mikalay Yanush (66'), and Dzmitry Kamarowski (87') each scored once as Shakhtyor Soligorsk dominated visiting Glenavon 3-0 in game two and took out the Northern Irish club 5-1 on aggregate.

At Skien, Norway:

A 0-0 game-two home stalemate with FC Sheriff was more than good enough for Odds BK as the Norwegian club won their series 3-0 on aggregate.

At Trondheim, Norway:

A 0-0 game-two home draw with Vikingur Gota was good enough for Rosenborg BK as the Norwegian club won their series 2-0 on aggregate.

At Stara Zagora, Bulgaria:

Spas Delev delivered a hat trick (7', 45', 67') as Beroe Stara Zagora defeated visiting Atlantas 3-1 in game two and ousted the Lithuanian club 5-1 on aggregate.

At Jerusalem, Israel:

Dovev Gabay scored the series-winning goal in the 60th minute as Beitar Jerusalem took out visiting Ordabasy 2-1 in game two and eliminated the club from Kazakhstan by that same score on aggregate.

At Dugopolje, Croatia:

Franck Ohandza scored twice (56', 63') as Hajduk Split throttled visiting Sillamae Kalev 6-2 in game two and won their series 7-3 on aggregate.

At Larnaca, Cyprus:

Luka Stojanovic (2') and Fotios Papoulis (61') each scored once as Apollon Limassol scored a second 2-0 victory over FC Saxan from Moldova and won their series 4-0 on aggregate.

At Solna, Sweden:

Henok Goitom scored twice (14', 59') as AIK belted visiting VPS 4-0 in game two and broke open what had been a competitive series with the Finnish club as they advanced 6-2 on aggregate.

At Bratislava, Slovakia:

Nicolas Gorosito (21'), Adam Zrelak (35'), and Robert Vittek (67') each scored once as Slovan Bratislava dominated visiting Europa FC 3-0 in game two and finished their two-match fist-beating of the club from Gibraltar 9-0 on aggregate.

At Viborg, Denmark:

Mustafa Amini (42'), Edgar Babyan (72'), and Mikael Ishak (90'+3) each tallied once as Randers dominated visiting Sant Julia 3-0 in game two and ousted the Andorran club 4-0 on aggregate.

At Andorra la Vella, Andorra:

West Ham United, with Elliot Lee scoring in the 21st minute,  blanked Lusitanos 1-0 on the road in game two and won their series 4-0 on aggregate.

At Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina:

Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two road decision to Zrinjski Mostar, FC Shirak from Armenia still won their two-match series 3-2 on aggregate. Jean-Jacques Bougouhi scored for the Armenian club in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time.

At Zilina, Slovakia:

A 3-0 game-two home win---thanks to Matej Jelic's hat trick (44', 55', 66')----was more than good enough for MSK Zilina as they knocked out Glentoran 7-1 on aggregate.

At Zagreb, Croatia:

Despite being held to a 2-2 game-two draw by visiting Airbus UK Broughton, Lokomotiva Zagreb still won their two-game series with the Welsh club 5-3 on aggregate.  Ivan Fiolic (65') and Damir Sovsic (73') scored for the Croatian club.

At Lovech, Bulgaria:

Marcis Oss (11') and Abdoulaye Diallo (60') delivered the goals as Jelgava gained a 2-2 game-two road draw with PFC Litex Lovech and, with the aggregate score at 3-3, advanced to the second qualifying round on away goals.

At Vaduz, Liechtenstein:

Robin Kamber scored twice (25', 33') as FC Vaduz demolished visiting La Fiorita 5-1 in game two and completed their two-match fist-beating of the club from San Marino 10-1 on aggregate.

At Rhyl, Wales:

Omar Er Rafik pulled through in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time as Differdange 03, despite dropping a 2-1 game-two decision on the road to Bala Town, won their two-match series with the Welsh club 4-3 on aggregate.

At Toftir, Faroe Islands:

Andrew Waterworth scored the series-winning goal in the 69th minute as Linfield, despite dropping a 4-3 game-two road decision to NSI Runavik, won their two-match series 5-4 on aggregate.

At Skopje, Macedonia:

FK Rabotnicki, thanks to goals from Chuma Anene (48') and Marjan Altiparmakovski (53'), knocked off visiting FC Flora Tallinn 2-0 in game two and overcame their series-opening defeat to oust the Estonian club 2-1 on aggregate.

At Tirana, Albania:

Petter Vaagan Moen scored the only goal of the match in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time as Stromgodset defeated Partizani Tirana 1-0 on the road in game two and won their series 4-1 on aggregate.

At Wroclaw, Poland:

Jacek Kielb scored twice (56', 90') as Slask Wroclaw defeated visiting NK Celje 3-1 in game two and won their series 4-1 on aggregate.

At Zlate Moravce, Slovakia:

With game two finishing in a 0-0 deadlock, Spartak Trnava, with the aggregate score at 1-1, eliminated visiting Olimpic on away goals

At Koper, Slovenia:

Matej Pucko (18') and Matej Palcic (61') delivered the goals for FC Koper as the Croatian club gained a 2-2 game-two home draw with Vikingur Reykjavik and eliminated the Icelandic club 3-2 on aggregate.

At Serravalle, San Marino:

Johan Elmander (49') and Elba Rashani (59') produced the scoring as Brondby defeated Juvenes/Dogana 2-0 in game two and finished their two-match demolition of the club from San Marino 11-0 on aggregate.

At Novi Sad, Serbia:

Aleksandar Stanisavljevic (14'), Miljan Mrdakovic (40'), and Mirko Ivanic (51') each scored once as Vojvodina defeated visiting MTK Budapest 3-1, both in game two and on aggregate for the two-match series.

At Bialystok, Poland:

Hat tricks from Patryk Tuszynski (18', 45'+1, 49') and Przemyslaw Frankowski (64', 75', 80') as Jagiellonia Bialystok annihilated visiting Kruoja Pakruojis 8-0 in game two and blew out the Lithuanian club 9-0 on aggregate.

At Budapest, Hungary:

Zoltan Gera (4'), Daniel Bode (20'), Attila (please no jokes) Busai (45'), and Zsolt Haraszti (89') each scored once as Ferencvaros dominated visiting Go Ahead Eagles 4-1 on won their series 5-2 on aggregate.

At Belgrade, Serbia:

Despite being held to a game-two 0-0 home draw with NK Domzale, Cukaricki won their series with the Slovenian club 1-0 on aggregate.

At Podgorica, Montenegro:

Ivan Vukovic scored the series-winning goal in the opening minute of second-half stoppage time as Mladost Podgorica gained a 1-1 game-two home draw with Neftchi Baku, and with the aggregate score at 3-3, won their series on away goals.

At Perth, Scotland:

Norayr Gyozalyan scored the series-winning goal in the 74th minute as Alashkert, despite dropping a 2-1 game-two road decision to St. Johnstone, won their series on away goals with the aggregate score at 2-2.

At Paola, Malta:

Jason Oswell (7') and Matty Owen (85') provided the scoring as Newtown AFC defeated Valletta 2-1 on the road and won their series with the Maltese club 4-2 on aggregate.

At Aberdeen, Scotland:

Aberdeen FC, despite being held to a 0-0 game-two home draw by  Shkendija, won their series with the Macedonian club on away goals with the aggregate score at 1-1.

At Dublin, Ireland:

Vladislavs Sorokins (37') and Arturs Karasausks (PK-59') each scored once as Skonto FC blanked St. Patrick's Athletic 2-0 on the road in game two and ousted the Irish club 4-1 on aggregate.

At Torshavn, Faroe Islands

David Arshakyan scored twice (30', PK-90'+3) as Trakai manhandled HB 4-1 on the road in game two and finished off the Faroese club 7-1 on aggregate.

At Hafnarfjordur, Iceland:

Kristjan Floki Finnbogason scored the only goal of the match in the first minute of second-half stoppage time as FH Hafnarfjordur registered a second 1-0 victory over Finland's SJK, this time at home, and won the series 2-0 on aggregate.

At Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina:

FK Zeljeznicar Sarajevo, with Damir Sadikovic scoring the game's only goal in the 68th minute, defeated visiting Balzan FC 1-0 in game two and won their series 3-0 on aggregate.

At Reykjavik, Iceland:

Jacob Schoop scored the series-winning goal in the 99th minute as KR Reykjavik, after a 1-1 game-two regulation draw, won their two-match series with visiting Cork City 3-2 after overtime.
