MLS: Wizards and Philly Draw; Galaxy and Fire Too; DC United Blanked Again; Revs Top Sounders; 1-0 Home Wins For Hoops and RSL; Rapids Dominate Goats

Seven Saturday Major League Soccer Contests Took Place.


At Chester, Pennsylvania:


Davy Arnaud's equalizer at 71 minutes gained a 1-1 road draw for the Kansas City Wizards in their game with the Philadelphia Union.  Sebastien Le Toux scored at 33 minutes for the hosts.


At Bridgeview, Illinois:


In a game that had gone scoreless through the first 87 minutes, the Los Angeles Galaxy and Chicago fire battled to a 1-1 stalemate.  Collins John scored for the Fire at 88 minutes, only to see Omar Gonzalez equalize for the Galaxy at 90 minutes.


At Foxborough, Massachusetts:


Chris Tierney (70'), Marko Perovic (73'), and Kheli Dube (81') each tallied once as the New England Revolution came from behind to defeat the visiting Seattle Sounders 3-1.


At Washington:


Guillermo Barros Schelotto took advantage of a miscue by goalkeeper Bill Hamid and scored the lone goal of the match (22') as the Columbus Crew blanked DC United 1-0 on the road.  It was the 15th time this season that DC had been shut out.


At Frisco, Texas:

Jeff Cunningham scored the only goal of the match at 45 minutes as FC Dallas defeated visiting Toronto FC 1-0, stretching the Hoops' club-record unbeaten streak to 13 games.




At Commerce City, Colorado:

Omar Cummings scored twice in the second half (68', 80') as the Colorado Rapids dominted visiting Chivas USA 3-0.


At Sandy, Utah:

Fabian Espindola's goal at 4 minutes stood up as Real Salt Lake blanked the visiting New York Red Bulls 1-0 to stretch their home unbeaten streak to an MLS record-tying 22 games.
