CFU Club Championship: Trinidadian Clubs Advance To Final; Clinch Berths In CONCACAF Champions League

At San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago:

The semifinal round of the CFU Club Championship took place with two games on Tuesday.

In the opener, Radanfan Abu Bakr (66') and Devorn Jorsling (86') each scored a goal as Caledonia AIA blanked Antigua Barracuda 2-0 to advance to the final.

In the nightcap, Rennie Britto scored twice (27', 67') as W Connection dominated the Puerto Rico Islanders 4-1.

The two clubs from Trinidad and Tobago was play in the final on Thursday at San Fernando.  Both W Connection and Caledonia AIA clinched berths in the group stage of the upcoming CONCACAF Champions League.

The title match is the nightcap of a Thursday doubleheader which will start with the third-place playoff between Antigua Barracuda and the Puerto Rico Islanders with the winner also qualifying for the CONCACAF Champions League.
