MLS: Wondo's Game-Winner Completes Comeback For Quakes; DCU, Crew, Dynamo, Rapids Pick Up Saturday Wins

Seven games were played in Major League Soccer on Saturday.


At Toronto:


Danny Koevermans scored in the 6th minute to lift Toronto FC to a 1-1 home draw with the New York Red Bulls, stretching the Reds' unbeaten streak to four games.  Jan Gunar Solli scored for the Red Bulls in the 3rd minute.


At Washington:


Chris Pontius (45'+1), Robbie Russell (50'), and Hamdi Salihi (90'+1) each scored once as DC United reclaimed sole control of the Eastern Conference lead with their 3-0 home domination of the Montreal Impact.


At Foxborough, Massachusetts:


Diego Fagundez delivered a second-half stoppage-time equalizer (90'+4) as the New England Revolution came back to gain a 2-2 home draw with the Seattle Sounders.  Saer Sane scored for the Revs in the 12th minute while both Sounders goals came from Eddie Johnson in the 23rd and 34th minutes.


At Columbus, Ohio:


With Tony Tchani (16') and Eddie Gaven (44') each delivered a goal as the Columbus Crew blanked visiting Real Salt Lake 2-0.


At Houston:


Brian Ching's penalty kick in the 83rd minute proved to be the game winner as the Houston Dynamo defeated the visiting Philadelphia Union 2-1.


At Commerce City, Colorado:


Jaime Alberto Castrillon (17'), Conor Casey (21'), and Jaime Smith (88') provided the scoring as the Colorado Rapids spanked the visiting Portland Timbers 3-0.


At Palo Alto, California:


Victor Bernardez (43'), Sam Cronin (46'), and Chris Wondolowski (61') provided the scoring as the San Jose Earthquakes----to go with Steven Lenhart's 7th-minute tally----came back from a 3-1 deficit to upend the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 4-3.
