CONCACAF Champions League: Toluca (Away) and Aztec Dogs (Home) Take Series Openers

The semifinal round of the CONCACAF Champions League got underway on Tuesday with two games.

At Alajuela, Costa Rica:

Paulo Da Salva scored the only goal of the match in the 71st minute as Toluca took the opening contest of their two-game series with LD Alajuelense 1-0 on the road.

At Tijuana, Mexico:

Cristian Pellerano's successful penalty kick in the 78th minute carried Club Tijuana to a 1-0 series-opening home win over fellow Mexican club Cruz Azul.
