MLS: Five-Draw Saturday: RSL, SKC, Sounders, Hoops Grab Saturday Wins

'Twas a very busy Saturday as nine Major League Soccer games were contested.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

The Philadelphia Union battled the visiting Houston Dynamo to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Lee Nguyen's successful penalty kick in the 31st minute enabled the New England Revolution to gain a 1-1 road draw with the Chicago Fire.  Quincy Amarikwa scored for the hosts, who have now picked up an MLS-record-tying sixth consecutive draw, in the 16th minute.  The Fire had a chance to win the game in second-half stoppage time, but Revs' goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth saved Juan Luis Anangono's penalty kick to preserve the draw.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

The Colorado Rapids and visiting San Jose Earthquakes battled to a 0-0 deadlock.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Goals courtesy of Darren Mattocks (67') and Kekuta Manneh (86') enabled the Vancouver Whitecaps to salvage a 2-2 home draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy.  Stefan Ishizaki (38') and Robbie Keane (77') delivered the scoring for the Galaxy.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Hector Jimenez late equalizer in the 90th minute lifted the Columbus Crew to a 1-1 home draw with DC United, whose goal came in the 31st minute from Fabian Espindola.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Dom Dwyer scored twice (74', 86') as Sporting Kansas City demolished the still-winless Montreal Impact 4-0.

At Frisco, Texas:

Blas Perez scored the winning goal in the 88th minute as FC Dallas overtook visiting Toronto FC 2-1.

At Sandy, Utah:

Ned Grabavoy scored the only goal of the match in the 78th minute as Real Salt Lake, with goalkeeper Nick Rimando, who made four saves en route to collecting his 111th career shutout, blanked the visiting Portland Timbers 1-0.

At Carson, California:

Obafemi Martins scored the winning goal in the 81st minute as the Seattle Sounders came from behind to upend Chivas USA 2-1 on the road.
