CAF Champions League

13 games were played on Saturday as the preliminary round for the CAF Champions League continued.

All are opening matches of the respective two-game series.

At Abidjan, Ivory Coast:

AS Kaloum Star of Guinea took the opening match of their series with Sewe Sport 2-1 on the road.

At Dakar, Senegal:

AS Pikine took the measure of visiting Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso 1-0 in game one.

At Calulu, Angola:

Recreativo do Libolo (Angola) took their series opener 3-1 at home against SM Sanga Balende (Democratic Republic of the Congo).

At Kampala, Uganda:

Kampala City Council defeated visiting Cosmos de Bafia (Cameroon) 1-0 in the opening match of their two-game series.

At Bujumbura, Burundi:

Kabuscorp SCP from Angola held hosts Lydia Ludic Burundi Academic FC to a series-opening 0-0 stalemate.

At El Eulma, Algeria:

MC El Eulma grabbed match one of their series against Saint George SC (Ethiopia) 1-0 at home.

At Nairobi, Kenya:

Gor Mahia FC (Kenya) took game one of their series with Madagascar's CNaPS Sport 1-0 at home.

At Juba, South Sudan:

Kano Pillars FC from Nigeria took the opening match of their series with Al-Malakia with a 2-0 road victory.

At Banjul, Gambia:

Barrack Young Controllers from Liberia gained a series-opening 1-1 road draw with Real de Banjul FC.

At Johannesburg, South Africa:

Kaiser Chiefs outscored visiting Township Rollers from Botswana 2-1.

At Victoria, Seychelles:

South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns gained a series-opening 1-1 road draw with St Michel United FC.

At Moanda, Gabon:

AS Mangasport took the measure of Lesotho's Bantu FC 1-0 at home in the opening contest of their two-game series.

At Bamako, Mali:

AS GNN from Niger gained a 0-0 road stalemate with Stade Malien in the opening contest of their two-game series.
