At Omdurman, Sudan:

Al-Hilal Omdurman blanked visiting KMKM from Zanzibar 2-0 in match one of their two-game series.

At Moroni, Comoros:

Big Bullets FC from Malawi knocked off Fomboni Club 1-0 on the road in their series opener.

At Dar es Salaam, Tanzania:

Azam FC blanked visiting Sudanese club Al-Merrikh 2-0 in match one of their two-game series.

At Malabo, Equatorial Guinea:

AC Semassi of Togo gained a series-opening 1-1 road draw with Sony Ela Nguema.(

At Aba, Nigeria:

Enyimba International FC dominated visiting Buffles du Borgou (Benin) 3-0 in game one.

At Maputo, Mozambique:

Armee Patriotique Rwandaise FC held hosts Liga Muculmana to a series curtain-raising 0-0 stalemate.
