UEFA Champions League: Blues Gain Series-Opening Road Draw With PSG; Bayern And Shakhtar Battle To 0-0 Draw In Ukraine

The UEFA Champions League's knockout stage commenced with the opening contest of each of two round-of-16 series on Tuesday.

At Paris:
 
Branislav Ivanovic scored in the 36th minute to help carry Chelsea to a 1-1 series-opening road draw with Paris Saint-Germain.  Edinson Cavani (that's him, right) scored in the 54th minute to help salvage the home draw for PSG.

At Lviv, Ukraine:
 
In a contest played in Lviv due to the ongoing unrest in eastern Ukraine, visiting Bayern Munich and FC Shaktar Donetsk battled to a series-opening 0-0 stalemate.  Here, we see Shakhtar's Alex Teixeir battling Bayern's Rafinha for the ball.
